F. Lynwood Givens, Ph.D.
I teach technology and science courses, lecture, consult, and manage financial investments. I serve on the Board of Regents for Midwestern State University and the Technology Adivsory Board for Sanborn Company. Prior, I was Chief Technology Officer of Raytheon Company, Intelligence and Information systems,the nation’s fifth largest defense contractor. Earlier, I was vice president of Space Imaging that launched the world’s first commercial imaging satellite.
My expertise is directing think-tank and research organizations. I hold five patents, one trade secret disclosure, and authored more than forty refereed publications. I am a member of the American Physical Society. I served on the University of Texas at Dallas Research Advisory Board.
I was instrumental in the acquisition of two companies and served as general manager of one of them, specializing in medical imaging systems.
I create technology training courses, video scripts, and technology protfolios. Topics range across image processing, satellite operations, semiconductor processing, patent protection, rights in inventions, business plans, and technology analyses.
Throughout my career, I held Top Secret, SCI/TS security clearances. I have widely traveled internationally – the Far East, the Middle East, Europe, Asia, Central America, and in every state – making thousands of technology presentations to heads of government agencies, intelligence organizations, representatives of government, military officers, investment groups, heads of companies, CEOs, presidents, vice presidents, and all levels of management.
I have made seven acoustic guitars and skydived three times. There may be more guitars, but likely not a fourth skydive. The dog’s name is Clover, always close at hand.
